Freedom of Information

Freedom of Information is part of the Government's commitment to greater openness. The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives individuals the right to request information held by a public authority.

During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic the NHS is facing unprecedented challenges and our resources are being diverted away from the usual compliance and information rights work. At this time it is likely that some requests for information will be delayed but will endeavour to provide you with as much information as we can, as soon as we are able to. We apologise for this position in advance.

If you wish to obtain access to your own personal/sensitive information, you should make a request under the Data Protection Act 1998. See the Access to your Health Records page.

Trust Policy

Our Trust has produced a Freedom of Information Policy. The Trust responds to Freedom of Information Requests within 20 working days.

Cost of Information

Information will usually be sent free of charge; however, if a significant amount of additional work is required, we will apply a charge of £20 per hour to cover expenses (you will be informed if a charge is incurred).

How to Make a Freedom of Information Request

Freedom of Information Requests must be in writing:

Publication Scheme

Under the Freedom of Information Act the Trust must produce a Publication Scheme.
