Working Together for Mental Health

The Working Together Partnership Group has been set up which is an alliance of our Trust, voluntary services community engagement organisations, Primary Care providers and South Warwickshire, Warwickshire North and Coventry & Rugby CCGs.

The purpose of the Working Together Partnership is to strengthen partnership working within the voluntary, community, faith and not for profit social enterprise sector for the benefit of our patients.

The group regularly hold meetings which they live stream on Facebook Live, and which can be viewed after the meeting for those who can’t attend.  Just visit @WorkingTogether4MentalHealth on Facebook.

The group are currently looking at how they can work together to bid for funding available from The Kings Fund and The Lottery Community Fund called ‘Healthy Communities Together Programme’ to progress projects together to support positive mental health amongst communities in Coventry and Warwickshire.

They are also following up on recent local workshops regarding the development of social prescribing models and the procurement tender which is planned to imminently be announced to recommission the CCG’s social prescribing services across Coventry, Rugby and North Warwickshire.

Mental Health Awareness Week is 18th-24th May 2020 and the theme this year is kindness, to reflect the many small and larger acts we can all still do to support friends, family, colleagues, neighbours and our wider communities.

At Coventry City Council we would like to highlight a few of the many unsung heroes within our services and those we work with. Please could you share the attached form with providers, vol orgs, services etc and encourage them to nominate individuals who they feel have adapted to the pandemic and responded with kindness. We would like to share one or two stories a day during Mental Health Awareness Week to inspire us all about the difference kindness can make.
